Better than I expected. Can be a little bit more expensive than expected as well. But I recommend the buffalo chicken boneless wings. That is probably the best buffalo flavor I’ve tasted in a while. more subtle so I like. Pasta isn’t bad either.
Had some late night relatives from out of town stop by so we visited the apple for food. The wonton tacos were great. The staff was great. The root beer was great. A great experience overall. Thanks...
The atmosphere is somewhat quiet. Tables were a little dirty so that was a star off this review. If you're going to sit people at a table, please make sure both table and seats are clean. Food was really good. Onion rings I ordered were on the very greasy side. Almost dripping with oil. But they were tasty. Waitress was very nice and had a wide smile so that's a great way to get people to come back and give them a second try.
So when I think of really good food I don't typically think of Applebee's Grill + Bar but it's a place we sometimes go with my family of five because of the variety and the prices are pretty reasonable. We've been to the Austin Applebee's maybe three times over the last five months and I've got to say every single time all of us have been extremely impressed with the flavor our food. We've ordered burgers, appetizers, pasta, and some of entrees like the Bourbon Street Steak and the fish and chips. Each time my wife and I look at each other and go, "Wow, this is really good!" The burger stand out as extremely good for a chain restaurant. On my most recent visit I had pretzels and beer cheese which I just wanted to try because it sounded interesting. It was fantastic! Like, No! I might lick the bowl good. If you are tired of the Red Robin's and Blazing Onions of the world where you can't seem to get out of there without taking out a second mortgage check out Applebee's Grill + Bar. I think you will be impressed with both the food and the price.
It was okay. Services was pretty good. Steak was a little more done than preferred and the green beans had a strange taste to them. Loved the draft beer special. $1 Coors light.
